Production planning and scheduling in mining scenarios under IPCC
These constraints vary depending on the extraction system used by the mining company for extracting material. Two extraction systems are available in the mining industry - Truck and Shovel (T&S) and In-pit Crusher Conveyor (IPCC). IPCC systems offer an alternative to conventional T&S systems by completely replacing trucks with conveyors.

A new conceptual mining method called the near-face stockpile (NFS), which combines the in-pit crushing and conveying IPCC system with a pre-crusher stockpile, has recently been proposed for large open pits with sufficient pit bottom width. In the past, stockpiles mainly act as a "buffer" to improve the stability of the production system.

In-pit crushing and conveying (IPCC) systems are used in open-pit mining for their potential economic, environmen-tal, and safety advantages [1]. An in-pit crusher is closer to the point of excavation and requires less total truck haulage than a xed ex-pit crusher. A semi-mobile system allows the in-pit crusher to relocate up to once per year [].
