Real-time coal classification in thermal power plants
The algorithms and models are built, tested, and validated against synthetic data generated by a physics-based model of a coal mill (Agrawal et al., 2015a), described in Section 3. The SSCC algorithm is shown to identify the right coal classes based on the historical synthetic sensor data and the coal labels.
